Our vacay was fun this year. I don’t have any pictures (yet), but the few I have seen are of our friends’ wedding. They are such the happy couple and their cake was beautiful.
As it turns out, a girl I went to high school with made the cake. Her older brother’s best friend from high school is now married to the bride’s sister. I used to work with the friend at a retail store while I was in high school. Such a small world!
We arrived back in town on Tuesday late afternoon and spent the rest of the day plugging back into our world. Husband took Wednesday off of work so that he could pick up the boys and off to work I went. It has been a good week at work, but I’m still looking forward to this weekend.
We kicked it off early by visiting the local bar at which I am a “regular.” Tattoo friend went with as she came back today from a business trip and took tomorrow off of work. Her tat has healed nicely and she’s already itching for the next one. :) Our friends, DJ (a frequent blog commenter) and my friend from college, met us there. Good times were had by all. It was 11:00 PM by the time we got home, got the dogs settled, and got to bed.
It is time for me to get ready for work today. I’ll check back in later.
