Note to readers: this post will be about spinning and knitting. Here is your chance to go somewhere else and read something you may find more interesting. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I was cruising the blogosphere on my way home from work the other day (woo-hoo 3G phone with internet capability) and ran across this. I decided to mull it over before I rushed toward the bright shiny object. While sitting by the pool two of the knitting girls yesterday (shout out to L and J who couldn’t join us), I ran the idea by them and decided to participate.
For the Tour de Fleece, I’ve decided that plying the Plum & Berries will be my challenge. I purchased this roving soon after starting spinning from Smoky Mountain Fibers. It’s spinning up beautifully, but the idea of plying it gives me the heeby-jeebies. I’d been toying with the idea of leaving it as a single, but my challenge will be to ply it. Got to get out of the comfort zone.
The Tour starts today and the spinning challenge starts today too. Let the fun begin.
