Well, not really, but that is what it could have felt like.
Trip to Dentist

I made a brief stop at my dentist’s office early this morning so that I could pick up my (fourth) mouth guard for teeth grinding/jaw clenching. The appointment was over super quick like and I had some time before I needed to get to work. I decided to swing by the mall adjacent to my former office building so that I could hopefully see a friend who is one of my former coworkers. On my way to the corporate coffee stand, another former coworker (that I really like and think is a doll) was standing in line. I joined her. We laughed and visited. I even acknowledged Ike (of Mike & Ike fame for those that know me in RL) when he appeared in line a few people behind us. When she left, I took a seat with my book, coffee, and fritter and sent a quick email to the friend. She promptly responded that she was on her way. We had a wonderful visit that lasted about twenty minutes. She looks great, seems happy, and seemed genuinely pleased to see me too.

I miss her terribly and look forward to the day when we either work together again or see each other more.

I quickly walked back to the car so that I could drive downtown to the current job. When I got to my car, I noticed this on my windshield:
Trip to Dentist

Really?!?!

I know they are trying to discourage commuters from parking at the mall. But I was just there for coffee. After taking a picture at a stoplight, I threw it in my backseat where it will live until I decide to clean my car.

How many mouth guards have you gone through? This is the problem with mouth guards - they don’t fix the problem and you have to keep buying mouth guards.
