An Exercise in Futility….

Charity Knitting

My local knitting group is running our own version of knitting Olympics. Those of us that are participating have contributed $10 ($5 toward prizes and $5 toward fundraising for a member that is running a race for charity), committed to knitting a project for charity, and committed to knitting something for oneself. I committed to knitting three preemie hats for the Preemie Project and toward finishing this durn bag and my mom’s Clapotis. I finished my first preemie hat on August 11 and the second last night.

The bag and Clap are languishing…

I had been toting the two projects around together so that I could work on them while at knitting/crochet groups.

Destruction
See that?

Jake’s responsible for that! I had the clap and the bag in the bright yellow bag sitting on the dining chair. I came home from work one day last week and husband told me what he had discovered. It’s been a long time since brown dog destroyed anything of great value (my black flip-flops a couple of weeks ago don’t count), but I was glad that he didn’t destroy the bag’s contents. Whew!! The worst part is that the bag is relatively new to my house-hold.

I’m working to finish the third preemie hat by Saturday evening so that I can try to power through my personal projects. I’ll keep you updated.
