I am attending a baby shower in a few weeks for a girl that belongs to the crochet group. I feel the need to knit her a shower present, but know that I do not do well knitting on deadline. I have also looked at my calendar for the next few weeks and am not booked solid. Do I give it a shot or do a schlep to the store for a gift card? Decisions, decisions…
I have long admired a friends’s Kipling Baby Sweater. I will have to ask her how easy it is to knock out. I do have lots of baby yarn to use up.

i too have a baby shower coming up (Oct 11th). I’m debating between doing a little hat/bootie combo rather than a blanket. and ’sweater’ is a four-letter-word for me lately, even if it is for a baby.
then again, i did just get that Debbie Bliss baby book… perhaps i’ll reconsider…
