Home Ownership

We thought it was the right time. We’d been in our apartment for 22 months and were ready to move. For a variety of reasons, we bought.

Here we are almost four years later and I regularly question that decision while simultaneously lusting after a bigger place in DC proper.

We’re seriously talking about hardwood floors and a kitchen redo. I’ve started my grad school application essay for reals this time. We have a nice cushion of savings that I don’t want to deplete for renovations. Do we refinance our ARM before it starts adjusting or do we bet that interest rates stay low? I’m ready to paint our bedroom.

Ugh. I’m having one of those days where I’m tired of being an adult.
