Last week I realized what was probably the source of my feeling off.
ANXIETY
It’s nothing new, but my anxiety level had ratched up to a level with which I was uncomfortable. For the most part, I walked away from Twitter and the blog (and Facebook too). Events in the time since have confirmed that I made a good choice and I’ve started back at the gym.
The anxiety makes me loathe invitations to do ANYTHING. All I want to do is stay at home, but when I’m at home I feel like I’m not doing enough. It’s a bad cycle and I’m working to get back on track. Small to do lists. Lower expectations. Giving myself permission to do nothing. Being mindful of my feelings. All ways to alleviate the anxiety.
It appears to be working.
