I had some family in town late last week and we met for dinner on Friday night. Dinner was excellent and we then walked to Georgetown for a bit of window shopping at real shopping. I bought some great summer clothes and got home around 9:30. Husband and I stayed up way too late and getting up at 4 AM to feel L-dog prior to his vet appointment for blood work (long story) was not fun. He let us sleep in until 7:00 AM and we finally got out the door around 8:30 AM. Hubs to the vet with Lucky and I got dropped at the Clarendon Metro to head downtown to meet up with the aunts.
From the hotel, we walked south on 15th Street NW to the Tidal Basin. Lots of people. Sun shining. WIND.
The trees were beautiful, but I was reminded why I don’t try to go every year. I don’t like people/crowds.
I survived and smiled for pictures. I love my aunts and it was good to see them.
