I need to drive to Georgia more often
College friend and I drove from DC to Georgia for Thanksgiving holiday. I had forgotten how much knitting I can get done in the car. I also got to watch many hours of a tee-vee show marathon on Friday night and working on the fiber stuff then too. Here is the list of projects in progress:

I didn’t take anymore yarn with me and worked the NEB until I couldn’t any longer. So proud of myself for working on this UFO.
Here is a really poor quality picture of the Noni Carpet Bag. Again, I didn’t take any additional skeins with me and worked through the end of row 43 of the bag body. Only 37 rows to go…

This final object is a helmet liner for my fil’s Christmas present. I’m making it with yarn purchased from RazzyTazzy Knits. Only four more petals to go before I’m done.
In all, a productive five days.
New WIP
Finishing one project makes me want to finish all of them, but I have lots of slogging to go on the outstanding items (Noni purse, Coachella, NEB). I decided the perfect answer would be to cast on sometime small(er). Behold…

The Ballband dishcloth from Mason-Dixon. I’m using a single color because that is what I have in the stash.
I also bought a ball winder this week and have had way too much fun. Here is a picture of the shelves that sit above our tee-vee.

This is also where I store my WIPs while working on them. As you can see, the NEB is on the far right.
While looking at this picture, I’m reminded of the stamps I bought at the post office the other day.

These are a nice complement to the yarn colors.
I’m such a nerd.
Knitting Group & New WIP
My husband doesn’t get it (and neither to most of my friends). I belong to a knitting group that meets the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. All ages and all level of experience are welcome. I haven’t been since March and went yesterday. I worked through six rows of the NEB and had a great time. The conversation centers around pop culture, work, yarn, and patterns. Fantastic women that rock!!!
As I promised in my random facts about me post, I need to tell you about a WIP I’ll be starting soon. I joined a scarf swap and was matched up with an awesome girl in MA. She’s already started my scarf!!! I’m such a slacker. My goal is to pick a patten tonight or tomorrow and to cast on by Wednesday. The NEB will go back into hibernation so I can get the FO done by mid-August. I’ll post a pic on Wednesday of what I’ve started.
