I’ve decided this is the next notion I need to buy due to the burden of toting two skeins of Cascade 220 around the house as I work on the purse. Amazon has several and the ordering one online is so tempting (since I don’t like to deal with sales people in stores). That being said, I really feel like I should support my LYS and at least see if they have any in stock.
In other knitting news, I was talking to a coworker about our WIPS. She is working on the lizard ridge blanket from Knitty and is trying to slog her way through it. I’m sympathetic because the NEB and coachella stare down at me when I watch TV at night.
We tidied up the house yesterday in advance of friends coming over for dinner. While going through some papers, I found my pattern for the Noni purse that prompted me to learn how to knit. When I bought the pattern in September 2006, I didn’t understand most of it and was very overwhelmed (so I started the NEB). When I opened it last night, I decided to start immediately as I understood everything in the pattern. I pulled down two skeins for Cascade 220 in Christmas Red and went to town. Portishead was playing on the stereo and and was able to cast on and purl a row before friends arrived. Woo-hoo!!
Okay, I fibbed. NEB is not hibernating. It is perfect knitting for movie watching. Last night we watched two silly movies and I worked the NEB.
I also started Coachella and frogged it. It will knit up nicely, but I needed a shorter circular needle. So…the log cabin blanket was put on a stitch holder and we’re ready to go.
