An Exercise in Futility….

…to a friend’s house for dinner. She lives a couple of blocks from me and I was walking across a major road (at the crosswalk) toward her home. Suddenly, I heard a crash and looked up to see that a car that had been trying to make a U-turn had misjudged the turn and had hit a light pole.

Thank goodness the driver wasn’t going to fast. The car was also a late model something. Instead of getting out to see what the damage was, the driver backed the car up, corrected the steering wheel and went on its merry way. As for the light pole, I didn’t see any damage from my location, but I’ll take a look at it when I walk the dogs tomorrow.

…why vitamin bottles tell you to take them with food.

As I was leaving the house today to go to work, I popped a multi-vitamin, flaxseed/borage, and B-complex and washed them down with water. During my drive, my stomach began to feel sour. Immediately upon my arrival at work, I communed at the porcelain altar.

Note to self, a breakfast beverage at 6:45 AM is not food.

While this isn’t a picture of my commute, I didn’t think to take one of my own. My twelve mile commute to work took 50 minutes this morning. It’s Tuesday. Nothing special. No rain. What’s the deal?!

In other news, husband had a great time in Atlanta and we had Five Guys for dinner last night. The boys were super excited to see him and so was I. We watched some quality TV last night and laughed a lot.

Today at work, nothing too exciting happened. I’m getting back into the swing of wearing suits (and pantyhose) to work. Not fun, but certainly easy.
