I’ve been working on a knitted hat for husband. It’s been a slog because it’s knit in a 1 by 1 rib. I’m a Continental knitter with a wonky purling method. I saw Norwegian purling in another knitting blog (Lime and Violet, I believe) and bookmarked it for reference.

Last night, while watching The Tudors (’cause I’m a nerd), I taught myself Norwegian purling using a great YouTube video.

The hat is knitting up much more quickly now. I mentioned the new method on Twitter today and a few of the girls got really excited. I may have to demo it next time we’re together
