Thursday Night Mischief Making
For the third week in a row, we went to the bar. Evan, the usual bartender, was not there (again), but James filled in admirably. We had a full house too! I’m glad I behaved myself, otherwise going to work would be unbearable right now. I’m sleepy enough as it is…
A break in our oppressive heat.
I know I shouldn’t complain. The heat/humidity here in NOVA is not near as bad as other regions/countries.

That being said, the last week has been pretty yucky. It was a major surprise to wake up to take the boys out yesterday morning and be cold in shorts and a t-shirt. I actually wore jeans most of yesterday.
Thankfully, a good friend called this AM and wanted to sit by the pool. I’m always game for that!

Pleasantly Surprised!
At 4:45 PM, I walked over to our work mailboxes to see if I had any mail. I had the usual junk stuff and a padded envelope addressed to me at work. Without looking at the return address, I thought to myself “this is odd.”
I looked at the return address. The package was from the famous coffee chain from the Northwest. Even odder.
I opened it.
Inside was a thank you note for being a loyal customer and a free CD. Sweet!! I can’t wait to listen to it. What a nice way to end my work day.
