We did not go out to eat. I’ve come down with the same cold that hubs has been fighting. Instead, I went to knitting group and was an anti-social yarn-snob. Came home and spun yarn while watching most of a movie. Hubs was reading a Neil Gaiman book on our new Kindle. We left the house around 6:20 for a quick meal at Wendy’s and went to a movie. The movie could have been so much better that it was. Oh well. I got to watch Clive Owen for two hours while eating Reece’s Pieces sitting next to hubs. Nothing wrong with that. We came home and finished the first movie, watched tv from the DVR and an episode of the Penn & Teller show on Showtime.
It should be noted that today is actually our wedding anniversary. We said our vows around 5:45 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2003 at the Georgia Musuem of Art in Athens, GA. While I wish I could find a copy of our vows somewhere – they weren’t the traditional ones – the more important part was that we made our togetherness official. Hubs and I’ve felt like we’ve been married for a lot longer than our government recognizes. Within the first few weeks of dating, we recognized the wonderfulness of what we have. The years we’ve been together haven’t been perfect and we’ve both made mistakes. At the end of the day, we love each other immensely and are incredibly thankful for each other. (And it should be noted that I saw sick on our wedding day –runny nose, FEVER, and coughing. It was lovely.)
