I need to drive to Georgia more often
College friend and I drove from DC to Georgia for Thanksgiving holiday. I had forgotten how much knitting I can get done in the car. I also got to watch many hours of a tee-vee show marathon on Friday night and working on the fiber stuff then too. Here is the list of projects in progress:

I didn’t take anymore yarn with me and worked the NEB until I couldn’t any longer. So proud of myself for working on this UFO.
Here is a really poor quality picture of the Noni Carpet Bag. Again, I didn’t take any additional skeins with me and worked through the end of row 43 of the bag body. Only 37 rows to go…

This final object is a helmet liner for my fil’s Christmas present. I’m making it with yarn purchased from RazzyTazzy Knits. Only four more petals to go before I’m done.
In all, a productive five days.
Quarter of the Body Done
Knitting group met today and between that time and watching the end of the UGA v USC game (which we are not going to talk about), I was able to finish the 20th row of the bag body. Woo-hoo!! Go me!

This may not seem like a major accomplishment, but I have an incurable case of startitis and I never seem to finish projects. I know I’m not done with it yet, but it is nice to have come this far.
Here are more obligatory shots of the dogs.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Squee!!
Here is the WS of first twenty stitches.
QUEE!!! So excited that I was able to do that. I’ll spend the next couple of days practicing getting started with that cast-on and then I’ll start doing the real thing.Since I pulled out the camera to take good shots of the sock cast-on, I decided to take better photos of the Noni purse. Here is the bottom of the bag:
And here is the body of the bag (rows 12 of 80 done thus far):
Again - so excited. It was all I could do to not jump up and down on the bed.
The boys were thrilled too.
