On Saturday, I attended the meetings of both knitting groups to which I belong. One of them is really a crochet group, but they welcome other crafters too. That one met at 11:00 AM and twelve people had shown up before I left at 1:00 PM. The other group met at 2:00 PM, ended at 4:00 PM, and only three of us showed up. I was able to get lots of work done on the scarf for the swap, but was discouraged when I put it around my neck to see how much I really had done. Let’s just say it is a good thing I like this pattern.
Both groups made sure to comment on the needles I am using. I think they’re fantastic for kip. Husband gave them to me for Valentine’s Day this year.
Here is another pictures I took this morning while drinking my coffee. Excuse the clean laundry in the background.
I know I said that I wasn’t going to show the full scarf, but I’m so proud of my progress that I’m editing my earlier vow and now am not going to post close up pictures.
[pictures will be forthcoming] I’m too lazy to take pictures.
Last night, while watching my favorite fake news duo on TV, I worked at least two (maybe three) repeats of the scarf pattern for my scarf swap partner (who recently redesigned her blog - LOOKS FANTASTIC!!! makes me want to tweak this thing Inspired the design tweak I put in place right this AM). I forgot to take pictures before I went to bed and will try to do so tonight if I get home from the gym with time to spare before we go to the bar.
I’ve not gotten a lot of knitting done lately. After going on vacay at the end of July, I’ve been hitting the gym hard to make up for the damage I did to myself while in Hotlanta. Thank goodness my crafty groups both meet on Saturday. Should get a lot done then. :)
After I posted last about the scarf for the swap, I decided I wanted to head in a different direction. I purchased yarn from someone off Ravelry, and cast on on Monday night using a pattern I found online (which rocks BTW). I’m very pleased with this and brought it with me on my trip out of town. I took this picture on Tuesday night.
What?! You expected me to take a picture of the WIP, didn’t you? I’m going to play hard to get on this one. Let’s just say that I’m alternating between the two balls (both same dye lot, but different levels of intensity) and the yarn is so soft. If you’re on Ravelry, you’ll get to see more.
