While the picture doesn’t look like much, it is the closest I have come to finishing something in a long time.
Frequent readers know that we are regulars at a certain establishment in the area. We’re friends with our bartenders and send them crazy text messages just like everyone else. Bartender James, our Tuesday night bartender, particularly likes to see us arrive. More often than not, we bring a crowd (or the crazy, whatever) and everyone has a better night. He recently started asking me when I was going to knit him something. I asked him if he liked blue and he said yes. So…blue socks it is. These are for you, James. I hope to have them to you soon.

My first booty club shipment was Killer Bees in October. I’ve been trying to decide what to make with it since my last attempt at socks was a disaster. After finishing the helmet liner for my fil for Christmas, I decided to use Killer Bees to make one for my dad. I’m not far enough along to have a good picture yet, but wanted to give you an idea of what the yarn looks like. So pretty!!!
I haven’t picked up the needles in about two weeks. I have, however, bought way more (mostly sock) yarn that I should have. Lime & Violet’s Daily Chum will be the end of me.
I subscribe to the RSS feed through Google Reader and can’t ignore their showcasing of Etsy dyers. So beautiful. In the last ten days, I’ve purchased this, this (for coworker cause she’s wonderful - btw, her jewelry website just relaunched), and this from Keegan Lane Yarns. The original posting that caught my eye is here. I also purchased this and this from RazzyTazzy Knits (L&V Daily Chum posting here). I’ve received the yarn from Keegan Lane Yarns, but haven’t take pics of it yet because husband took our camera with him on his extended business trip.
And speaking of sock yarn, I’m already a memberof the Booty Club and now want to sign up for Keegan Lane’s sock club.
