An Exercise in Futility….

I discovered the ISO/FS/Destash board on Ravelry. It will be the death of my yarn diet if I don’t walk away now.

I’ve purchased some yarn from Ayana that she had posted there (it’s the same brand/style I’m using for Mom’s Clap, but a different color way). I’ve also purchased a beautiful black Cole Haan bag. It is just the bag I’ve been holding out for fall/summer to/from work. These purchases plus Yarn Pirate’s Booty Club (that I rejoined and from which received my “first” shipment on Monday–see below for a bad picture)

plus Cosmic Fiber’s Notorious yarn club will have me rolling in more sock yarn than I know what to do with. I’ll have to be selective in what I keep and try to trade the ones I’m not in love with for dupes of ones I do so that I can make larger items.

I haven’t picked up the needles in about two weeks. I have, however, bought way more (mostly sock) yarn that I should have. Lime & Violet’s Daily Chum will be the end of me.

I subscribe to the RSS feed through Google Reader and can’t ignore their showcasing of Etsy dyers. So beautiful. In the last ten days, I’ve purchased this, this (for coworker cause she’s wonderful - btw, her jewelry website just relaunched), and this from Keegan Lane Yarns. The original posting that caught my eye is here. I also purchased this and this from RazzyTazzy Knits (L&V Daily Chum posting here). I’ve received the yarn from Keegan Lane Yarns, but haven’t take pics of it yet because husband took our camera with him on his extended business trip.

And speaking of sock yarn, I’m already a memberof the Booty Club and now want to sign up for Keegan Lane’s sock club.

…“Booty” Club, baby!!!

The sign-up was open last night at 7 PM EST, but I happened to be at a baseball game. I was disappointed that I could not sign up. I was even more disappointed when I realized that the second wave sign-up was at 1 PM EST today. I knew I would be out of pocket at my tattoo design consult. When I arrived home from that outing, I didn’t even check to see if spots were available.

Fast forward to 5 minutes ago. I’m sitting in bed, reading the CNN site, and I jump over to the Yarn Pirate’s site. A few clicks…and off to PayPal I go to pay for three months. Sweet!!! I can’t wait for the first shipment.

In other knitting news, I’ve been on hiatus since frogging the toe of my first sock. Last week was busy and I didn’t get as much done (knitting, exercising, cleaning, reading, etc…) as I had hoped. There is always this week. :)
